How we DISCO together?
We meet online every quarter and in person at least once a year as a full network. In between we are also working on projects together. Collaborating in different combinations on the ideas, the research, the projects and pilots that are most relevant to our communities.
Individuals and organisations from around the world are welcome to come and join in those efforts. Please contact XXXX to tell us what of our priorities most interests you and find out how to join in.
Collective Solidarity
We work collectively within our communities and form a global one. We believe in collaboration and solidarity and aspire to always support and care for each other. We value collective leadership and draw power from celebrating each other.
Amplifying Diversity
We strive to support a plurality of voices and diversity of visions from our communities and we work to uplift the artists whose voices and experience have been suppressed.
Decentralising Power
We work hard to remain decentralized and independent. We take the lead from the communities we humbly represent, we celebrate equity and reject competition. We promise to never be extractive and to always start with openness.
Embodying Integrity
DISCO started as an inclusive concept. We take transparency, humility and respect very seriously enabling accountability across our ecosystem.
Collaborating with Joy
We are happy to do this work. We love being amongst a group of co-conspirators who are hopeful, who are rule breakers and mavericks. Who are optimistic that we can dance together to build a better future.
Always Evolving
We never stop evolving. We believe that we can only grow if we are flexible and agile and we are ready to experiment.
Where are we going next?
We’ve been working with Michel Bachman from Together Institute to design a governance structure that can support our vision of a decentralized and leaderful network. Leaders from six different member organizations have stepped up to co-steward the development of the DISCO network for the next two years, with the support of a dedicated coordinator. Together, they are laying the groundwork for the expansion of the network with up to nine new member organizations in late 2025, thus doubling in size. The intention is to keep doubling each year as a maximum in order to expand our impact while deepening our relationships with each other.
